Why all the talk about self sustaining this and that? Many things have become non self sustaining meaning that services like electric supplies powering cities are not self sustaining. Means they fail and leave large land areas without power. So what is self sustaining in our cities? As far as I can tell so far nothing is self sustaining. Not the water supplies, not the food supplies, not the economic system.

Before Bill Gates and other techno geeks sold the world the computer system the economic system was still a hard copy and cash in our pockets system. Today almost all people feel safer with plastic debit or credit cards rather than cash. So in reality cash in our pockets no longer exists as a form of exchange. So some day all money will be lost in the memory banks of the main super computer wherever that is. Banks will not be able to verify that we have money without the data linking systems being able to communicate with eachother.

The Worlds Merchants, Governments and people have chosen the Satellite System because it is the fastest way to transfer data. Someday in the not too distant future a (large solar flair - coronal mass ejection) will move the Satellites out of their orbits. The Banking System will fail and the GPS System will fail at the same time. Ships will be lost at sea, jet liners will be lost in the air, off course heading in the wrong directions. One large solar flair will start what the Bible calls the great tribulations.

The people on earth coping with system failure after it happens will have a terrible life indeed. the stores will be empty forever, people will not have anything to work with. For those who plan and are smart they will move to a self sustaining community. Where are these types of self sustaining communities? Maybe some farms, maybe some countries, Amish Communities?

Self Sustaining Water Supplies - Today some people use self sustaining water supplies on farms and rural areas. Some people pump water from wells during the day with solar panels, some people use wind mills. Magnet Motors will be able to turn pumps instead of a wind turning a wind mill. Magnet motors can trun generators day or night and not need the sun like with solar panels.

Self Sustaining Food Supplies - Food like corn, cantalope, carrots growing near our homes - Chickens laying eggs - Cows for milk - and of cource not popular with everyone is eating dead animals body parts.
